What we do and when we do it

Mondays is our "Outreach" Day, we meet in Talybont. This is a smaller drop in group, they're great if you live in the village and haven't been to a Parent and Child group before or are new to the area. There are toys to play with, drinks and often a craft activity and singing.

These sessions are free thanks to the funding from the National Lottery.

These sessions only run during the school term.

Tuesdays we are in Borth. There are two sessions.

Bumps and Babies is for expectant and new mothers in our Clarach Road Centre, a calm opportunity to chat with others, play with your child and an activity and song to take part in.

This session usually combines with the "Toddler Time" session during the school holidays.

Toddler Time is for older children and is held in the Borth Community Hall. A large enough space for running around in, making noise and letting off steam as well as art activities, parachute games and singing. A great place to drop in after leaving school children in the morning.

This session runs throughout the school holidays.

Lunch Club is a popular session held in our Clarach Road Centre. It is an opportunity to gather around with other parents and staff to eat a meal together. The meals are child friendly, healthy and low cost (£2 per adult £1 for children over 1). We regularly use food donated by Tesco through the Fareshare Scheme.

So that we don't waste food or even worse leave someone hungry, we ask that you book in with us (at least) the day before if you are planning to come by texting Hannah's mobile

Please contact us contact@borthfamilycentre.co.uk or via our Borth Family Centre facebook page if you are concerned about these costs as there is funding avaliable to cover them if required.

This session runs throughout the school holidays.

Baby Massage sessions are run after lunch club (and after we've had a chance to tidy up!). These sessions are provided by a skilled and trained member of our staff who will provide training to you on how to safely massage your child as well as the knowledge behind it.

This session does not run during school holidays.

Thursdays can change regularly, we often trial new sessions and put of training and learning opportunities for parents on.

During the Autumn of 2017 we will be running some outdoor exploring sessions in our Garden - please contact us for more detail.

During the Term time of Summer 2017 we ran STEM (Science, Technology Engineering and Maths) type sessions called SPAT at our Clarach Road Centre in the new Garden we have made with support from TESCO Bags of Help Scheme.

During the school holidays we regularly run group trips or events Thursdays. We have visited Nant yr Arian, The Fire station, RNLI and the Beach.

Young Parents Group is run on a Friday at the Clarach Road Centre.

This session regularly has professionals and visitors in to share information or activities. There are regular trips out, Activities and Events as well as Arts and crafts for parents and children and skills sessions (such as Pediatric First Aid Courses).

These sessions do not currently run during school holidays, but we are currently exploring options in order to keep them running throughout the year.
